Domain name registration Should I use an anchor or an accordion?
Using links within the same page. Whilst anchors work, the aren't good on phones - and an accordion is a much more modern and attractive choice.
What's the difference between an anchor and an Accordion?
Both do a similar job - display a list of topic headings, with a link to more information about each topic. You will have seen them used for 'frequently asked questions', or similar, on many sites. Using an anchor links the topic title to the topic description, usually further down on the same page. An accordion displays the title and the description appears immediately below when a button or arrow is clicked.
As the accordion is the preferred solution for display on all devices, I'll not demonstrate how the anchors work. However, a sample accordion is below:
